To commemorate World Environment Day 2023, the Dept. of Civil Engineering orchestrated a poster-making contest themed "Healthy Planet". This was followed by a compelling online lecture on "Material Flow Analysis: Application for Sustainable Environment". The session, part of the IEI Student Chapter activities, was led by our esteemed guest, Dr. Amit Kumar, Assistant Professor from the Civil Engineering Department at MNIT Jaipur.

Dr. Kumar captivated students with his detailed explanation of Material Flow Analysis, while also shedding light on a regional case study on the flow of lead in solid waste management systems. His insight into the workings of a Mechanical composting plant was an added learning for our students. Dr. Kumar's exhaustive research, including case studies on "Lead Flow through an Academic Campus" and a similar study in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan, brought fascinating experimental results in Waste Water and Sewage Water Treatment.

Our students found the lecture incredibly enriching and extended their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kumar for imparting his valuable knowledge. Such endeavors emphasize our commitment to a 'Healthy Planet' and fostering an environmentally conscious generation.
